Romantic Things to Do in Napa that Don’t Involve Drinking

What better way to celebrate than with a day or two (or five) of self-care?

1. Pamper Yourself to a Treatment at Spa Solage

Have you and your partner been dealing with a lot of stress the past few months? Book a couple’s treatment at Spa Solage as a fun thing to do in Napa Nalley. Famous for its geothermal pools, this upscale spa invites you to explore the benefits of mineral water and heat in various ways.

2. Lunch like the French at Bouchon

Chef Thomas Keller is the mastermind behind some of our favorite Napa Valley dining spots. The most romantic of them all? Bouchon. With red velvet booths, marble tables, gorgeous tiled floors, and not to mention, absolutely delicious cuisine, Bouchon transports you to Paris and earns its rightful reputation as one of the best romantic restaurants in Napa Valley.

Going on a hot air balloon is not only the best ride one can have, but also one of the most beautiful experiences to share with your partner.

3. Take a Balloon Ride with Napa Valley Aloft

The most romantic place in Napa might just be in a hot air balloon basket, soaring above the sprawling vineyards. Why not blow your partner away on a scenic adventure with Napa Valley Aloft? After all, Napa is one of the best places to go on hot air balloon rides in California.

4. Have a Delicious Dinner at Lucy Restaurant and Bar

If you haven’t been to Lucy in Bardessono yet, make your first trip with your partner the next time you plan on heading to Napa. Offering delicious, organic, farm-to-table dishes, this beautiful restaurant is a romantic place in Napa for dinner.

5. Go on a Boating Adventure at Pleasure Cove Marina

Pleasure Cove Marina is located along the shores of the beautiful Lake Berryessa. Inviting you to enjoy the boating lifestyle without owning a boat, this romantic place in Napa is a treasure trove of adventures waiting to happen. You can rent a small boat for a fun day of cruising the lake, but if you’re looking to stay overnight, houseboat rentals are also available at the cove.

6. Catch a Live Show at Blue Note Jazz Club

There are plenty of fun things to do in Napa’s downtown district, but if you really want an unforgettable evening, make a reservation at Blue Note Jazz Club. Seamlessly blending the Greenwich Village jazz club scene with Wine Country ambiance, this famous club gives you the best dinner and live music experience you can hope for. Check out the performance calendar before you pick a date for your dinner and you’ll have yourself a romantic thing to do in Napa not many can top.

Have your first date out in the nature

7. Have a Pool Day at Carneros Resort and Spa

Carneros Resort and Spa is one of the best hotels in Napa Valley, and staying there comes with a pretty price tag. But you don’t have to break the bank to enjoy lounging by its inviting pool. If staying overnight at this upscale resort isn’t an option, rent a cabana and spend the day poolside at this romantic place in Napa.

8. Drive the Scenic Silverado Trail

Napa is rich with natural beauty at every turn. Hop in your car and bask in the glory by going on a scenic drive in Napa. The Silverado Trail is a great contender and stretches for 27 miles all the way from Napa to Calistoga, passing by Trancas Crossing, Moore Creek, and Robert Louis Stevenson Parks. Make an itinerary of things to do in Napa along the way and enjoy a full-day adventure!

9. Browse the Shelves at Oakville Grocery

Are you and your date total foodies? Browsing the shelves of Oakville Grocery on a casual date could be one of the most fun things to do in Napa for you. A Wine Country landmark since 1881, this cool destination has everything you need for a fun picnic, from hearty sandwiches and housemade salads to creamy dips and tasty bites.

If you want to have your first date, stop by the grocery store and organize a romantic dinner

10. Share what you Bought Over a Romantic Picnic

Speaking of picnics, you can piggyback off the previous date idea and continue by going on a fun picnic date. You can definitely make use of Oakville Grocery’s quaint patio, but we recommend taking the delicacies to a more romantic place in Napa. Yountville’s Veteran Memorial Park, Napa River, and several vineyards are great candidates for scenic picnic spots.

The Lake Hennessey Shoreline Trail is a moderate and dog-friendly hike that features beautiful wildflowers along the way.

11. Hike the Lake Hennessey Shoreline Trail

An easy hike around Lake Hennessey is a great way to go outside and see Napa’s beautiful nature with your date. Especially fun for couples who like to get active, this five-and-a-half-mile hiking trail is an awesome thing to do in Napa on a sunny afternoon. The trail can be completed in about two hours total, but if you’re not in a hurry, spend three hours or more to take in the views along the way.

12. Book a Mud Bath Treatment at Calistoga Spa Hot Springs

Soaking in Calistoga’s world-famous volcanic mud baths is a great way to relax while removing dirt and toxins from your skin. Book a treatment for you and your boo at Calistoga Spa Hot Springs and check this entry off your things to do in Napa bucket list.

It's been on your bucket list for a while now... Plan that Napa Valley Wine Train date ASAP.
