Bixby Creek Bridge

An iconic California landmark by every sense of the word, Bixby Creek Bridge is a quintessential part of every Big Sur scenic drive. Built in 1932, this bridge offers coastal views at numerous turnouts along its 714-feet length. If you stop at Calla Lily Valley, then you should also check out the adjacent Garrapata Beach. Most of the beaches along Big Sur are rugged and admired from afar. However, Garrapata Beach is one of the few places with access and sandy shores. When the tide isn’t too high, explore the small sandy cove at Garrapata Creek at the south end.
