Maggiore Ranch

Located conveniently at the entrance of town, this Brentwood cherry-picking orchard is one of the largest and most visited U-pick sites in town. Maggiore Ranch’s popular cherries are usually firm and dark and include the likes of Coral Champagnes, Brooks, Lapins, and Bings. The diversity in the number of offered varieties also allows for both early season and late season picking.

Nunn Better Farms

The family-run Nunn Better Farms has been providing high-quality fruits, vegetables, and produce to the Brentwood community for more than 150 years. Get your family, friends, and loved ones to join you on a Brentwood cherry-picking adventure and enjoy gathering freshly ripe cherries from the pretty orchard spanning 70 acres.

All you have to do is make your way to Nunn Better Farms, and the lovely team there will provide you with a bucket to gather your cherries—no reservation necessary. After you’re done wandering around the cherry farm, taking photos, and picking the best cherries, your basket will be weighed and you’ll be on your way out. Yes, it’s that easy and simple.

G&S Farms

Each spring and fall, neighbors from all over the Bay Area plan an annual road trip to G&S Farms to pick out fresh produce and enjoy seasonal fun. Run by third-generation farmers, this esteemed cherry farm has a great reputation for producing non-GMO fruits and veggies. 

Five cherry orchards belonging to G&S Farms are found in the Brentwood area. While most of them feature Coral, Sweetheart, Lapin, Rainier, and Brooks varieties of cherries, it’s best to call the farm in advance to know which orchard to head to if you have a favorite kind. Besides cherry-picking in Brentwood, this awesome farm also hosts pumpkin patches and grows a number of other products, the most famous of which is corn.

Mike’s U-Pick

Mike’s U-Pick has been farming in Brentwood for over 30 years—each year, its fan base grows a bit bigger. Lasting anywhere between four to six weeks, U-pick season at this friendly Brentwood cherry-picking farm promises diverse, welcoming, and fun-filled adventures. Find Rainier and Lapin varieties at Mike’s U-Pick, enjoy cherry-picking with your loved ones, and plan a picnic later at one of California’s beautiful locales to eat the cherries together.

Can’t make it to Mike’s U-Pick in time for cherry-picking? Late May is peach and nectarine-picking season at the farm and I hear it’s just as popular. 

Three Nunns Farm

Cherries, peaches, pumpkins, and strawberries—these are a few of the delicious fruits you can pick at Three Nunns Farm depending on when you visit. Living and working on the rich soils of Brentwood for over a century, the Nunn family’s love for land and farming has only grown with the passing years. Today, they are supported by a team of dedicated professionals as they continue a tradition of bringing superb agricultural products to California.

If the weather permits, then the usual cherry-picking season at this Brentwood farm usually lasts about a month starting in May. Enjoy six different varieties of delicious cherries including Corals, Rainiers, Lapins, Tiogas, Garnets, and Black Pearls. Making a fruit salad?
