Deborah Zacharatos-Reeg is a dedicated realtor in the East Bay with a wide range of expertise. As an East Bay native, Deborah knows all about the region’s beautiful cities and what makes each one unique. With the ocean to the west and mountain towns to the east as well as the mix of urban and rural landscapes, the Bay Area makes it simple to experience all that California has to offer. “It’s easy to get around,” says Deborah, “yet we still have a lot of good metropolitan life with the city and theaters, and restaurants.” Equipped with a deep adoration for her hometown and the surrounding area, Deborah stumbled into a career in real estate 15 years ago and has loved helping clients discover the beauty of the East Bay ever since. “All of our bedroom communities are always growing and improving and becoming more and more attractive,” she says. “I think [new residents] are realizing they like the smaller feel, all the open space, and the fantastic restaurants and shopping that we have.”
Inspiring Buyers, Sellers, and Realtors
After pursuing a law degree and entering the industry, Deborah found that it wasn’t for her, but didn’t quite know what she wanted to do next. Though her husband has been a lender for nearly 30 years now, it wasn’t until Deborah sold her house that she found the inspiration to enter real estate herself. After obtaining her real estate license, Deborah was able to get a broker's license right away—thanks to her education and experience as a lawyer—making her a standout realtor from the start.
In addition to her unique background, Deborah is a very knowledgeable and welcoming person. Deborah operates with integrity and is a mentor to many of the aspiring real estate agents around her. “I always look at things half full,” she says, and after a single conversation with her about real estate, her eclectic taste in music, or the daily quotes she gets inspired by, it’s easy to see why clients and realtors are drawn to her.
While she specializes in helping first-time homebuyers as well as upgrading and downsizing clients, her primary goal is to establish trust with everyone she comes into contact with. Whether that means setting up a plan and getting on the same page with buyers, discussing the right price with sellers, or letting clients know that it’s not a good idea for them to purchase above their means, Deborah always aims to do what’s right.
