Born and raised in the northern portion of Torrance, Melissa is equipped with a lifetime of stories and recommendations for her clients. While she moved to Westwood to attend UCLA and spent some time living in Paris, France, Torrance became her homebase and an idyllic place to ignite her real estate career.
Though Melissa works throughout the South Bay region of Los Angeles, Torrance holds a special place in her heart. Aside from being her hometown, Melissa is drawn to Torrance for its centralized location between Southern California’s beaches and freeways, along with its strong sense of community, multi-generational family-owned businesses, diverse eateries, and stellar schools. Since she’s lived in Torrance for the majority of her life, she’s able to share its unique qualities with first-time buyers and impart knowledge about every aspect of the city—including its charming 1920’s homes, hillside housing tracts, and the character of each distinct neighborhood.

Developing A Passion for Real Estate
While her father has been a broker for 30-plus years, becoming a realtor wasn’t what Melissa expected to do after college. After studying French and communications, flying to Paris, and working for a global advertising agency, Melissa decided to take the leap into real estate, knowing she had marketing skills to fall back on if she needed to. Now, with several years of experience in the industry, it’s clear that real estate is a fulfilling career choice for her.
“Buying real estate is probably one of the biggest transactions one is ever going to make. I think it’s an honor to be a part of that and to allow them to have a trusted friend and advisor through the process.”
Specializing in first-time buyers and sellers, Melissa makes real estate accessible to those who are interested, but don’t have a solid grasp of what the process entails. Her approachable personality, willingness to explain complicated terminology in easy to understand terms, and expertise in market trends make her an invaluable asset.
“I think real estate is sort of like dating. You have an idea of what you want, but when you meet somebody, they may not fit all of your boxes, but they’re a great match for you. It’s kind of the same thing with a house.”
Uplifting Entrepreneurs and Creating Community
When Melissa isn’t hard at work getting the best deals for her clients, she’s learning new languages, watching foreign shows (with English subtitles), belly dancing, reading inspirational books, and empowering other women. Melissa is incredibly passionate about community and finds creative ways to give back. Along with practicing yoga with others to help them relieve their stress, Melissa does whatever she can to help promote women-owned businesses. Her passion project involves interviewing female entrepreneurs, highlighting what they’re doing, and helping to drive their success.
