A Relationship-Oriented Realtor Helping Buyers Find Their Perfect Homes in Sonoma County
Rama Mejia is a caring realtor with a wide range of expertise. With two-plus decades of experience in the real estate industry, Rama is incredibly knowledgeable about the entire process, but it’s her relatable demeanour that draws people to her. Rama’s dedication to listening to her clients and building relationships with them turns many business interactions into friendships.
“I like to build relationships [with my clients] and make sure they’re being well cared for.”
Born and raised in Sonoma County, Rama’s regional expertise is unparalleled. Since she’s lived in Santa Rosa her whole life, Rama knows all about the town’s architecture, top hiking trails, and the best restaurants in addition to its unique real estate market. Rama’s deep understanding of the surrounding community allows her to properly welcome new residents and help locals discover the county’s hidden gems.
Building Connections in Santa Rosa and Beyond
Growing up, Rama didn’t expect to enter the real estate business. While she’s always appreciated the amazing climate, beautiful scenery, and the ability to explore various landscapes—from rugged mountains to the serene coastline—in Sonoma County, Rama never thought this passion for her region would help her career. Real estate, however, blends her empathetic nature, love of education, and understanding of the Golden State to create the balanced lifestyle she always hoped for.
After attending a local business school, Rama set out to become a legal secretary but discovered that finding a job without having prior experience was incredibly difficult. Knowing she wanted to explore other fields, Rama got a job at a commercial real estate office, first working the front desk and eventually becoming the assistant to a top producer. With several years of experience under her belt, Rama moved on to work in residential real estate as an assistant before branching out on her own.
Now, Rama enjoys meeting new people, building relationships, and advocating for her clients. While handing over the keys at the end of the transaction is always exciting, for Rama, the journey is just as rewarding. With her, a client is never just a transaction. Rama goes above and beyond, listening to her clients’ needs and connecting them with providers who can make the moving process easier—she’s even helped elderly clientele pack when they need assistance.
Lending a Hand in the Community
When Rama isn’t helping first-time buyers pick out their ideal homes, you can find her caring for her three sons—including identical twin boys—walking her dog, cooking paella, exploring Northern California, and giving back to the community. Rama absolutely loves dogs—particularly pit bulls—and regularly donates to animal rescues, with dreams of someday running her own rescue. In addition, Rama is very involved with her kids’ activities, helping out as “team mom” for the local soccer and baseball teams.
