Top California Artists to Watch at Outside Lands 2026

Golden Gate Park turns into one of the country's biggest music destinations this August when Outside Lands 2026 takes over San Francisco from August 7 to 9. The lineup leans global, with New York rock icons The Strokes headlining as one of the festival's marquee acts. But make no mistake, California still owns this weekend. Chart topping R&B stars, Bay Area hometown heroes and a wave of rising indie acts prove just how deep the state's musical talent runs.

Baby Keem Brings Southern California Hip Hop 

Baby Keem leads the charge for Southern California hip hop. Raised in Carson, he built a name for himself with tracks like "family ties" and "ORANGE SODA," blending experimental production with lyrics sharp enough to cut glass. Expect his set to hit like one of the weekend's high points. 

Tinashe Headlines the Pop and R&B Scene 

Pop and R&B fans should clear their schedule for Tinashe. The Los Angeles singer and songwriter has spent years perfecting a sound built on sleek production and tight choreography, making her one of the more versatile performers working in pop today. Between older cuts like "2 On" and newer fan favorites, her catalog tells the story of an artist who refuses to be boxed into one genre. 

The Story So Far Represents the Bay Area 

Northern California gets its moment through The Story So Far. The Walnut Creek pop punk veterans have earned their spot as one of the genre's most respected bands, and their emotionally raw anthems tend to hit differently when the crowd is practically home turf. 

Hyperbeam Delivers West Coast House 

Electronic music heads will want to catch Hyperbeam, a collaboration between Australian producer Odd Mob and Los Angeles house standout OMNOM. OMNOM in particular has become one of Southern California's most exciting dance music exports, helping push West Coast house sounds onto stages around the world. 

Rising California Talent to Watch 

As always, Outside Lands makes room for new blood. Los Angeles producer Dylan Brady, known for his work as one half of 100 gecs, brings his genre bending electronic style to the park this year. He's joined by fellow Southern California acts Malcolm Todd, Audrey Hobert, Automatic, Red Leather and Britton, each offering their own spin on indie, rock and pop. Up north, Bay Area performers Nezza, Not for Radio, Day We Ran, San Francisco guitarist Marlon Funaki and the SF Gay Men's Chorus carry the torch for the region's local scene.
