Sanger is located in Fresno County near the Kings River and is best known for being the “Nation’s Christmas Tree City” because of the General Grant Tree which stands in Grant Grove in Kings Canyon National Park. This tree was named as the Nation’s Christmas Tree due to its age of between 2,000 and 4,000 years, and its height of 267 feet.
